Bore it... Forged pistons, rods, crank, three valve heads camed, ported, polished, plained, headers, duel exhaust, chip it, punch the cats... So much potential

That should get ya 265 to 300RWHP.
with that much power you could probably get away with 3.55 gears and 35s

Superchargers arn't hard to get a hold of for a 4.6 either I was thinking crank horses anyways. Not rear-wheel.

i dunno, 35's with stock gears is rough on the trans.

What about a 5 speed out of a 4.2L 97... I'm about to aquire one. Will it work in my truck?

Not only that, but the 5 speed is a light duty tranny and won't hold up to anything stronger than a stock 4.6. JMC has one behind a modded 5.4 and I believe he's gone through about 5 of them by now?

I have a 4.6L though... I just want this thing running again untill I can get a "tough" tranny. Is there a bell-housing I can get that will work?

Automatic to manual conversion is not a trivial project.

It won't bolt to the engine. Other than that it will work fine.

if u insist on a manual, you need one for the modular 4.6 5.4 bell.
