How much Tq

I have a 08 FX2 5.4 and I did a search for this and didnt find anything so... How much TQ can the stock trans and drive shaft take? Also anybody know the speed limit on the shaft? The truck is limited to like 96 or so and if I do the mods I am thinking of I dont want to over spin the shaft.

Thanks,
Jon

The trans can take 750 lb-ft of torque, and that's AFTER the torque converter multiplies engine torque by 2:1. The maximum torque multiplication is at an RPM that is less than the RPM where the engine makes max torque. The maximum multiplication is at torque converter stall.

The 96mph limiter is because of tires, not anything else.

i see you have some bolt ons and now youre about to add long tubes and a tune.

if you arent planning on doing much more than that then you will be absolutely fine. the truck wont even be able to go fast enough to get the driveshaft to give you problems.
