4r70w shutter

I have a 97 F150, just bought it 2 weeks ago, drove fine until yesterday. What happens is when I come to a stop it seems like the trans is holding in the higher gear for all gears causing the engine to shutter. I checked the trans fluid and it appears to be a little over filled but is about 30 degrees outside and the manual states that fluid should be checked at 50 degrees. Is this a trans problem or coil problem?

Usually in these cases I say to start out looking for a miss as being the issue. Not saying that it is, but I think that is the best place to start.

your best bet is to take it to a trannyshop to get it properly diagnosed, could be something small like a sensor...
