Transmission Reprogrammed

I have an 08 screw 4x4 with 10k miles. I've noticed from day one that at certain speeds and conditions, after coasting and getting back on the gas, the trans would race before downshifting and accelerate. At first I thought it was the transmission "learning" how I drive, as they say in the owners manual, but I never felt like making an appointment to have it checked out.

Last week I had it in for service for the EATC and asked if there were any service bulletins for my problem. She did find one, and said they will reprogram the computer. She asked a mechanic about it and he said he's done plenty of them. Although he asked if another guy was in and when she said no, he said too bad. I'm wondering if they would have swapped out the computer instead of reprogramming it.

Anyone else have this condition and have the computer reprogrammed? I might be overly cautious, but it seems like I have more torque now and my mpg may have dropped slightly. I'll be keeping an eye on my milage.

They only swap the computer if it's failed. Updates are done by reprogramming.
