torque converter?

hey guys ive got a sort of problem i cant figure out! in my 2000 when iam driving, it shifts fine through all the gears. until i get to about 65mph it shifts into overdrive and settles at about 1500rpm (cruising speed) but if i let off the throttle it clunks a little and drops about 250ish rpm and the truck begins to slow down! but if i push the o/d button it jumps up to about 2000rpm so that tells me its not completely out of 4th! soo iam confused. i called my tranny guy and he said it sounded like it could be the torque converter. but what would the torque converter have to do with it? i just reciently had it flushed and everyting looked good! soo i dont know what to do! so any advice would be wonderful! - thanks, brandon

Everything you described sounds normal. What do you see as the problem?

well its never done it before, its almost as if someones slightly putting on the brakes, but then if i press the gas again it feels like the converter engaging and slightly "clunks" then accelerates. and it doesnt do this all the time. also sometimes if it begins to act up i'll press the o/d button, let it rev up, and press it again so it go's back into overdrive and the problem go's away
