Need help with a P743 engine code

hey everyone , Im new to the forum and wanted to say thanks in advance. I have a 2000 ford f150 4x4 with a 4.6. I am showing a check engine code of a p743. It all started out one day I was at a stop lights my RPMS dropped and then died. I started it the rpms went up I pushed the gas and would barely move. After a few seconds it ran perfect. Then a couple of days later no problems at all. Now it is sputtering constantly is the best way I can explain it. The tranny is not slipping and the rpms seem to be normal. I checked the code again and it is a p743.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Also what kind of money am I looking at?

Thanks so much for all of the help

You have a failure in the circuit for the TCC. Sounds like the circuit is intermittently shorting causing a continuous apply of the TCC which causes the engine to stall.

Oh......you meant P0743, right? "P743" is not a valid code.
