04' Tranny Problems

i Just hit 56k and ive been experiencing some problems with the tranny. It doesnt have the same kick as it use to and now when im on the highway and it down shifts i get a serious vibration in the cab it feels like the road divits before a toll (if that helps) also the transfer case has oil all over it.

I wanted to get someones info on it before i brought it in to Ford to empty my pockets, any info helps. i never flushed or changed the ATF didnt want to take that chance. Any info helps thanks alot

You should have taken the chance. I think your problem is that the ATF is worn out. If you have it flushed now you might be able to save this trans. If you don't flush it, plan on a new trans.

If the transfer case has oil all over it, that means something is leaking. Have you CHECKED the fluid levels in the tranny and transfer case?

Fluid on the transfer case can be from several places.

As noted, change your fluid and use only Mercon V fluid when you do it.

Okay, so the tranny fluid is full, not overfull - and the transfer case is full, not overfull?

Flush just means use a fluid transfer machine, there's no flushing pressure involved.
