Odd situation with Cruise control

what?

with a truck like that you cant find the master cyclinder?lol

the brake pressure switch is only there as a back up incase the brake pedal switch fails. its does not turn off the cruise normally.

allen: most people buy it done.

i'll be frank, these guys probably have u going in the right direction. those books are at napa/schucks/autozone/motion auto/any parts store basically. get one, great for troubleshooting little things like this sometimes.

check out the switch. it could simply just be dirty, but that requires patience and tearing it all apart. (something i do to save cash)

i on the other hand have different odd issue with cruise ive never heard of... the SOB surges going down hill. like it cant figure out where to place the throttle.

Hi Jbrew my cruise stopped working today. the cruise lite flashes the immediately goes off. i tried the diagnostic procedure all went well. the pressure switch on the master cylinder was soaked with brake fluid and i have had the recall done. how do you change this switch. thanks

Go to the dealer, spend $26 for a new improved disconnect switch, unplug the electrical connector from the leaking one, unscrew it, screw the new one in, and reconnect it. Top off the brake fluid.

Until you can get to the dealer, disconnect it!

Thank you went to napa this morning. Old swich had no continuity, new one did.cruise now works thanks
