4R70W/4R75W = same pan ?

B&W, thanks.

Wish Ford, and others, would put a drain plug in their stock pans. And an external in-line filter. Sure makes it nice on other vehicles I've performed maintenance on.

When I searched for threads on 4R70W + Mag-hytec, one of them mentioned a pan for ambulances & U-haul vehicles that had a drain plug but I don't remeber if anyone said it could be used on a 4X4. I'll have to see if I can find it again.

Ambulances and U-hauls don't have a 4R70W transmission.

A deep sump pan with a drain plug was used on 1998-2004 E-250 econoline vans that were delivered to the U-Haul corporation. Part Number F8UZ-7A194-AA

Wouldn't the E-250's have a E4OD/4R100?

For the year 2003, Ford made E250 HD and an E250 LD

The E250 LD came with

- 4.2L 6-cyl Engine code 2
- 5.4L 8-cyl Engine code L
- 5.4L 8-cyl Engine code M CNG

E250 LD was also offered with

4 speed except sd 4R100
4 speed super duty 4R100
4 speed 4R70W
Manual Transmission, 5-SPD ZF
Manual Transmission, 5-SPD Mazda

Some E250 HD came with the 4 speed 4R70W
