Trans temp gauge

what is entailed in installing one of these. any tips?
07 F150 xlt

You have to plumb it into the cooler line where the line exits the transmission.

I prefer to install the sender in the pressure port in the side of the trans. That will give readings nearly identical to pan temperatures. The port is a 1/8" NPT Dryseal thread, which is the same thread as most sending units.

how accurate is the tranny temp gauge on the edge evo?
