Performance 4R75 Questions

04 lariat 5.4 3v - I have a few questions. Im putting a whipple on over the weekend. So now Im going to mod the tranny a little. I know the F150 looses ALOT of power through the drivetrain so Im looking to correct that and hopefully add some life into it. What mods are good to do? Ive heard a little bit of talk on Torque converters, valve bodys, shift kits etc.. Any advice is welcome!

Thanks!

It's not a bad trans. You'll likely want to install a plate kit and a better torque converter. There are plenty of upgrades that can be done depending on how deep into the transmission you want to go.

I highly suggest giving Mike Troyer a call. I know for an absolute fact that he has some new products for this application that are very high quality. The reason that I always suggest to call him is that even if you choose not to purchase products through him, he is always an awesome source to point you in the direction of the right people to talk to. Nobody knows more about these trucks than he does.

I currently have the shifting time reduced on mine. I was able to change that with the HP Tuner software I am currently tuning my truck. This is in hopes to creating less heat and having less slippage when I run my S/C.
