Is this a tranny prob??
Is this a tranny prob??
i have an 02 Screw with 97,000 miles, I've had the tranny fluid changed once at 60,000 miles, and just had the rear diff changed about 2 1/2 mnths ago. For about the past month I've noticed that when taking off from a stop, i get a vibrating feeling or a rubbing kind of feeling from the rear, mostly when I'm turning left or right from a stop. Any ideas! thanks guys!!

You have a traction lok rear end don't you?
If so then it's that and not the transmission. Heck, I would bet that it's not the transmission anyway. LOL
My advice is to get with whoever changed out the rear end and see if they put in the proper fluid and proper amount of friction modifier. Sounds like that may be the issue here.
What is likely going on is that there are clutches in the differential on a TL rear end that allow the wheels to rotate at different rates when needed, like in cornering. If there is insufficient lubricity to whatever fluid is in the differential then the plates will chatter.

I had an 2001 GT and this was happening to me, the improper amount of fluid in the rear end was input from the factory, the end bearing ont he axle had worn out. Not saying this is your problems, just throwing it out there. The friction modifier is important also, the above response is some good advice.
