Slipping???
I have a 2004 F-150 super-cab with the 5.4 4wd etc. etc. In the mornings when I start the truck and start to drive to work it acts like it isn't in gear if I let of the gas and then give it any more. If I just let it idle or if I haven't given' it any gas since I put it in gear its fine. Just after I've started drivin' and let up for a curve or a turn or something. Is something slipping or have any of you had this problem?
I would start by doing the basics like checking the transmission fluid with the vehicle running and in park after it's warmed up.
On that, please make this note...
You need to make sure that what you think is the level of the fluid actually is. The way to do this is to make sure that the point that you think is the level definitely has fluid covering all the way around the stick. A lot of people mess that up and just look at the topmost point of fluid on the stick. That usually isn't the actual level though. Make sure that there is fluid all the way around the stick with no bare spots.
