Trans temp

Those temp are being measured off the trans valve body sensor and are about correct. Will vary quite a bit with driving conditions.
My custom built 4r runs a normal 148 just out of the convertor not the pan area.
But don't take this as a compair because I have a different trans, custom build, low stall convertor, faster more precise shifting, deep pan and a fan cooled aux cooler, so the two can't be compaired directly.
My 148 temp is the normal average light load cruising, no matter what the outside temp is, rising under hi loads, driving conditions and outside temps..
The amount of time the trans spends out of lock-up, loading etc all causes the temp swings.
When you see over about 220 + in the pan, then begin to have concern.
