I've installed the lariat flow-thru console with shifter in my truck and all seems to work well, but I don't have any experience in dealing with automatic transmissions. My question is about the sensitivity of the lever on the transmission where the cable connects. Is there some play in the position it can be in or does it have to be exact (when in the different gears). I would hate to sacrifice the lifespan of a transmission if the alignment of the shifter and transmission were just a little off. Does anyone fill that this is a valid concern?
