Hey jbrew i got my tunes last week and it runs great now
Ya he did mess with the shift points and firmness but it still does not shift hard enough for me!!I think a shift kit is my only option for the shifts i prefer.
I don't need it right now.Plenty of other stuff to do to it.I definately want to put one in though.

I have never heard of that place you listed looking for the tuner. Are they any good??It seems like everyone wants a tune with the wait there is on them!!

You know, we have what they call the big cruise here in Michigan every year . That's been going on since, way before my time. We use to meet in town after school and head up to "Woodward (famous cruise road - Google it)

You could tell when you getting close to Woodward by the cop car lights. People racing and getting busted

Anyways Livernoise motor sports (what they were called back then ) were very popular builders back then.

They have grown since that time. Funny that there looking for a tuner (just a bonified computer programer.) I n3ever heard of them hiring anyone , thought it was all in family over there.

Neal had them do a few thing s for him , I think JMC has as well..

Yea the trans (hardware tune ) really makes a difference. I think more for your type trans vs. mine. Klitch was amazed at the difference right away.

It took my trans awhile to take it seems like . I imagine that was because it was hurt bad - I was shopping for a new one because it slipped bad - so bad it didn't brake torque . Foot on the brake and the I would hit the gas , it would sit and just slip.. It sucked .

It's still awesome taking off from the light just normally - Shifts perfect!! It just hit and goes - absolutely NO pause.

I purchased from Troyer - $89.00 w/f150online discount (talk to Crystal over there - cool chick.. )

Yup, the only thing different on the 4R100 is a few electrical upgrades (98-99)- doesn't effect the kit..

The kit should say both, like - E4OD/4R100.

Yea , I here yuh - 3rd and 4rth are slow learners after the trans tables go thru a reset

It doesn't take that long , maybe 3 drive cycles....

After Trans tables adjust - Taking off from the light in normal fashion ( just the forward cats w/Magnaflow - still have that GT sound ) The shift spacing is perfect. The shifting is real impressive compared to stock - no rolling or sliding/slipping into gear, it just HITS (I have shift points again)

Power and Torque is transferred to the rear wheels and not lost in the shuffle.

I just ordered mine from Troyer for $99... I asked about the f150online discount of $10, but was told the $99 price was already "heavily discounted". Not really sure what that means? The price on Troyers website shows they are selling them at $99. Disappointed about that, but looking forward to installing it!

So I don't want to have to take this thing back out and re-adjust it since I'm putting $9 per qt amsoil atf in it. So what size do you guys recommend I drill those holes the first time around? I really don't tow much and I'm not too concerned with quick/aggressive shifts. The main thing I'm looking for in this kit is for it to hopefully help my reverse problem. Where I hit the gas and it slips and doesn't want to reverse...

Is there a shift kit available for the 4r75e?

My truck is tuned, and while the tuning does wonders for the shifting, it is not quite the same as my El Camino was with the 350ci/TH350 trans and a mild shift kit. I know there are a lot of differences between my 4r75e and a TH350, but the feel of the shifts on the El Camino were what made it so nice to drive.
