All who have Tranny Temp Guages
All who have Tranny Temp Guages
How hard are these to do? I would greatly like to install one of these myself, and if so how difficult is it? How would I mount the guage? Do the A pillar pods support a guage even with the edge pod in?

Thanks built5.4! Is there any electrical worries i would have to encounter, or do the guages go straight off the line that you put in that plug? I suck at anything electrical and it scarres me a little bit thinking of having to wire something to something else. Also where could I get a single pod-holder?

hmm try ebay, im not really sure where to look, but the tranny temp gauge is a very good thing to have. Just one wire from the sending unit you put in the tranny goes to the gauge, then an ignition wire, a ground, and splice into your parking light wire under the dash, its easy to find, the instructions will help you. Id suggest autometer phantom series
I haven't done this yet, I'm still in the planning stages. But it doesn't look too hard. Of course, the electrical wiring will probably be the toughest, but not too bad.
I will be going with a two-gauge pillar and installing oil pressure and trans temp.
Built54 - did you have get a different sending unit to use that port in the transmission? I was reading on this post (https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=198633) that some people had to use a different sending unit, a shorter one. They were using an autometer 2259, it says it's for something like cylinder head temp, but they were using it for trans temp.
