Manual valve bodies in e4od transmissions

Manual valve bodies in e4od transmissions

Has anyone put a manual valve body with or without a transbrake in their aod or e4od transmission?

Im planning on doing this to my tranny and would like advice

No, he's asking about E4OD and AOD trannys, not 4R's. 4R's weren't out in 1991.

What do you mean by Manual ? A stick? Most likley you do - then disregard this post.. I have a the brake kit in my E4OD it works awesome - only when needed.. Turning OD off you can really feel it out braking the motor..

No, a manual valve body is a replacement for an automatic transmission's stock valve body. A manual valve body eliminates the automatic shifting, so that you need to move the shifter for each shift.

I've never seen a manual valve body for an E4OD, but that doesn't mean they aren't out there.

there is a kit in the summit magazine for the E4OD with stronger clutch bands and seals. But is it possible for the factory tranny to hold 400 or more hp ?
