Installing Tranny Temp Gauge on 2002

Neal,

Yes, I have the adapter- that's what I was referring to as the 1/2" NPT mounting nut (which is what the Autometer instructions call it). In your pictures, it looks like your adapter is completely screwed in to the manifold. I can barely get my manifold past the first threads, which is why I'm a little uneasy about putting it on my truck. How did you get your adapter to screw down all the way?

Mine just threaded all the way in. I used TEFLON tape on all my threads as well.

Yep, it looks very similar to that. It came with the autometer manifold so I assume it's the correct one. Like I said though, it will only thread about one turn and then it freezes like it's cross-threaded . . . and no, I don't really have it cross-threaded. I bought the manifold from Summit, so it's not like the thing came off ebay. I can't figure out why it won't thread.
