Check and see if they hooked it back up onto your engine. Mine has a little clip that holds a rod onto the throttle body. They might have missed it when putting your engine back in. Also, make sure that the plug(s) are plugged in correctly into your master cylinder. I don't think the cruise control will work without the plugs plugged in, cause they tell the cruise when the brake petal is depressed, but I may be wrong. You might want to check some fuses too....

To replace the clutch doesn't require removing the engine. In their haste to complete the job they may have neglected to plug in the output shaft speed sensor. It should be on the side of the extension housing on the tranny. Other than that they may have disconnected the deactivation switch that is located on the brake master cylinder. Is your vehicle listed for the Cruise control recall?

Yeah was this a ford dealer? If you havent had your CC safety switch changed under recall yet, and the dealer doesn't have the new part yet, they just tape off the sensor deactivating the CC.

Hmm methinks you should bite the bullet and take it back to the garage, and ask them to check all the connections - explain clearly that the CC worked before - you could mention the possibilities listed here, but if you're a novice, and even if you're not, you shouldn't be doing a job someone else was supposed to get right, IMHO.

The OSS is located in the extension housing of the transmission. Get under the truck and look at where the driveshaft enters the transmission. That part is the extension housing. On the driver's side there is a sensor that measures the speed of the shaft. The plug may be either not connected or damaged. The other plug is on the brake master cylinder. You can't miss it. Does the horn work? The horn relay shares a common ground with the CC.
