Hello.....with a ?

Hello! I am new to this site, and it looks like a great source of information.
I am looking at a 2000 Supercab flairside F150.
In the ad for the truck, it says it has an automatic 5sp transmission.....Is this correct?
Thanks in advance!

It depends the 5r110 transmissions are 5spd. The 4r70w's and 4r75's are 4 speed.

It doesn't depend on the F150s. The 5R110 is not available in the F150.

The 5R110 5 speed automatic came out in 2003, not 2000.

Hah - got it!

They counted Reverse as the '5th' speed ;-)). Sneaky buggers.

Good point, ya I guess even the 250's didn't get them until 2003

I didn't think they were available in the F150, at least not in 2000.
