AOD to C6 Swap in '86 F-150 4x4

Hi all. I'm new to the group and was wondering if anyone has any experience with going from an AOD to a C6 in a 4WD Ford F150. I'm having problems with my AOD and am considering going with a C6. I also plow snow in the truck and thought the C6 would probably be more suitable. I was just curious if the transfer case would be in the right spot to bolt up to the C6. I was assuming that I would have to have the drive shafts modified to match the new C6. Any other issues I might run into? Thanks for any help.

aod swap

There's some info on classicbroncos.com . I think there's only about a 1"-1.5" difference, so you could probably just elongate the mounting holes.

I'm doing a 351 swap and have a windsor C-6 (4x2) that I'm not gonna use, let me know if you're interested.
