Question Transfer case

I was hauling a trailer and my 87 f150 4x4 AT died. Tried to start her but she wouldn't go into gear. A previous post indicated that this is a probem with my transfer case. Also, the truck had been leaking oil steadily prior to this. I'd been using stopleak/viscosity enhancer and 10w-40, and it slowed down considerably. Can anyone comment on the availablility of transfer cases for my truck or maybe sell one to me, or maybe help diagnose this oil leak? If you can't tell, I'm not a very experienced mechanic - but I'm broke =). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

t-case fixes

http://www.technicalevolution.com/borg1356.htm has info on your t-case, (it's probably a b/w 1356).

I just bought a similar t-case (b/w 1345) for $26 on ebay, add $65 to ship and it's still a good deal. I hope it works. You can usually find a NP 208 (should fit the same) for $275 in good shape. I think there's one on ebay now.

Good luck
