torque converter

Scenario and question

[1996 F-150, 5.0 L, 305 CI)

Recent tranny fluid and filter change but did not drain torque converter of it's 8 or so odd quarts. I want to drain out the TC's fluid.

Question 1: Will this drain all the new fluid out or just the sludge trapped in the TC?

Question2: What transmission do I have ?

You can change all the fluid with this procedure. http://www.ford-trucks.com/articles/...hangingatf.php

It will change all the fluid in the transmission, including the torque converter. There won't be sludge in the torque converter. The fluid is too dynamic there to trap sludge.
