7,700-lb. Payload Package Cool Compensation
Just got a letter from Ford about my radiator in my truck for the 7700-lb towing package. It seems that there was a misprint in the sales literature.
They say the that what I have exceeds the super cooling requirements of Ford. They are offering three options 1. $100 check
2. $500 towards purchase/lease of a new Ford vehicle
3. an "upgraded" radiator installed by Ford, which may take several months to be installed.
Does anyone know anything about this?
If I choose one I may not take any of the others

Holy moly is there information on that. It seems that many f150online members are at least in part responsible for the action Ford took.
A whole lot of guys have already been having the radiator replaced. Now that Ford has addressed it, many of the same ones that have been blasting Ford for not "giving them what they paid for" are taking the $100 and running. I would do the same.
The smaller radiator is appearently newer and exceeds the specs for the "super cooling". A couple of people that actually do tow, have reported absolutly no problems even one that live near and tows throught some of the hottest dessert valleys in SoCal.
Do searches in the Engines forum and youl'll find some huge posts going back almost a year. Even a member that is appearently affiliated with Harvard Law School in some way that I believe may have started an action.
