2017 f150 trailer brake gain level
2017 F150 3.5 eco boost 4x4 XLT
Cant get my trailer brake to activate my electric trailer brakes. I set up the back up assist program which works, which had me list my trailer. 16' double axel utility.
During set up I never came across my gain setting and pressing my electric brake controller has no effect.
So I don't know what is not working but I have no idea what my gain is set at.

I don't know how your 2017 is set up, but my 2014 was "plug and play". The gain is shown in the information center on the dash, when the trailer is connected.
Are you connecting the trailer with the 7-Pin trailer plug? Do you have an indication on the truck's dash that a trailer is connected? Is your ignition ON? These are questions that I would answer with "yes" in my truck.
