Sorry to hear about your bad luck. NJ laws shows:

New Jersey BI & PD Liab, PIP, UM 15/30/5 (6)

That means that everyone must carry 15K liability for injury per person, 30K injury per accident and 5K liability for property damage. So yeah she only has $5k insurance. Be wise and minimize your damages. Dont rent a car, etc... Save all receipts and you can sue her for any excess damages over the 5K. Do NOT sign ANY releases at all. The insurance co will still pay the $5K. Are you injured? NJ has pip and you need to pass a threshold to get $ out of her insurer. My advice, see if you are injured and have her co offer you a nuisance settlement. Use that $ for your prop damage....

Thank you every one for your coments but all has worked out wee and my truck has been fixed and they totaled my trailer. they gave me $2750 for the trailer and i payed for it just about that.
they gave me $1700 for my truck all it neaded was the tow hitch and rear bumper i burchased the parts thru my brothers account becuse he is a used car dealer and i i got both the bumper and hitch for $700 and intalled them myself. i also got a aditional $650 for towing and storage and $140 for a renatl that i did not take. I also purchased the trailer back from them for $350 becuse they were only going to pay me a total of $5000 so it only realy Cost me $100 and i am geting it fixed for $1000 so i am geting a free trailer out of this basicly. and my frame is straight and the tow hitch cracked that is where all of the stress went.
