Looking like another Ford blunder. The costs to design, engineer, and build an Off-Road truck, and the costs to tool up for a limited production unit like this will, IMHO, send it to the cutting room floor shortly after it hits the market... if it does come at all. Certainly doesn't look like a 20mpg unit to me. I can't imagine it will have a long line of followers, and I'll bet it won't demand that many actual purchasers. It will be interesting to see the price tag compared to someone actually building their own off-raod vehicle on an XLT or FX4 chassis. The only positives are the 6.2L Boss and the factory warranty on this type of truck. Then again, the "abuse" clause in the warranty paparework will certainly be a bunch of fine lines, and the 6.2L will be in other models as well.

MT just posted up an article with a video too. All I can say about this truck is WOW!!!! I had nearly given up on trucks since my move to CA and that's the only thing I've ever owned my whole life. High gas prices and the economy had me wondering what would be next, but this just instantly restored all of my excitement!

I could not have planned this any better. I'll be home from Iraq in July and have already started putting away for my new F-150 that I've always wanted. I f'n DARE this thing to be sitting at the dealer by the time I get home! IT WILL BE MIIIIIIIIIIIINE.
.......However, I would like to know exactly when the 6.2 will grace us with it's presence and if a Super Crew will be available at all. Never the less......IT WILL BE MIIIIIIIIIIIIINE.

Wow!!!! What an awesome truck. I have to say the 09's had not really interested me much. But this truck has changed that. I would have to wait for the 6.2 motor before I would consider one, but from what I have seen here so far. Its on my list for trucks to consider. Wow!!!! that is one bad Azz truck.
That SVT badge does scare me a little, in reguards to what happens to the price on any other SVT badged product. I can see the dealers slapping ADMs on these rigs pushing the prices up into the 70s, at least for a while. Much the way the SVT cars have been these past few years. The Mustangs are just now getting down close to msrp, and they have been on the market for 2-3 years now. Looking forward to seeing where the prices come in on this thing.

A person could buy a used 2WD F150 and throw on a full Camburg kit (and locker/gears) that would outperform and cost less than the Raptor...
I can't see the Raptor making it longer than 5 years...
