Right side lower than left

The right side of my rear suspension is a full 1/2" lower than the left; measured from top of tire to wheel well, and from ground to wheel well on level ground. I'm fixing to buy new shocks as I believe it still has the originals with 85k miles. Are the shocks the problem or could something else be causing this? Been getting multiple answers from "non-professional" buddies

2006 XLT Screw 2wd; 85K miles

Right side as in passenger side looking from the back or driverside looking from the front?

Many things can cause it, and chances are while it's probably due from shocks, your not going to get any noticeable height from them.

Passenger side is lower, sorry about that. Not gonna get any noticeable height meaning it won't correct the issue or that it won't be higher than stock?

It most likely won't correct the issue, but it'd definitely help the ride. It's most likely due to the leaf springs being more worn on that side.

Damn haha. Should I try and grab some junkyard leaf packs or do you have any recommendations? Might just do the shocks too anyway, probably with bilsteins

If it's bothering you enough you could go grab a leaf pack from the junkyard that'll match one of the sides, but it'll be hard to find a truck in the junkyard with them both the same haha.

Hmm it is bothering me, but I guess that's a big PITA trying toget them the same. Only thing is, the back used to be level until recently. I'm really **** about everything on my truck so I would've noticed haha. Took a 400-500 pound load to the dump and I bet that's what did it.

While I'm at it, got a preference on rear shocks Pizzaman?

I like the stiffness of the bilsteins 5100's. I just got a set of procomp es 9000's and while they're a lot cheaper, they ride a little too soft for my taste.

And yea that load is probably what helped do it, especially if it was off center towards that side. My truck is like 1-1.5" lower on one side than the other in the back haha. I've just gotten used to it.

Thanks, appreciate it. That's a big difference! Does that not affect how it drives? I'll give it some time and see if I get used to it. I just hate feeling like something is broken haha. Might still stick an aal or block under there to lessen that 1/2" 's percent of the total height.

Truckguy, I'm hoping to get a lift (with new leaf packs) in the coming years, so I might be waiting on that haha

I haven't noticed any effects to the way it drives, and it's not really noticeable because nothing really in my area is perfectly flat ground haha.

My Deaver leafs have flattened out over the time I've had my truck... I have plenty of reasons whyyy, but either way. Just wanted to inform you that my *8* LEAF pack has flattened out on the passenger side. Just take a good look at them and you might see it too.

Just put my summer wheels back on... My dad just observed it too. .5" lower on drivers side. Each front side is 3.5" above my tires.
