Is this a blown shock? Pics inside

Looks like there was a grease explosion. This shock was installed four months ago and it was white.

Don't think so. A shock has oil in it that is very thin, not grease like. Could be a ball joint or CV boot. Check the CV boots for cuts and tear.

I know something's wrong because its a lot bouncier than it used to be even on paved road.

Check your tie tod ends, ball joints, etc. The shock had something get on it, that grease isn't from the shock. As for the shock not being white anymore, that's completely normal. The first pic looks like what my shocks do and they're a month a half old. That's dirt and grime from other places but not coming out of the shock.

That is not to say the shock isn't bad, but grease means something else.

What type of shocks? Some of the lower priced ones will drastically wear out in a quick time. Like everyone else said, the grime looks like normal road pickup. Imagine how dirty your truck would look if you hadn't washed it in 4 months.

Most likely a CV boot tore.
