Question Lowering A 4x4 Supercrew

Hey all I was looking around on the interwebs for a Lowering kit for a 4x4 and was wondering if any of you know of a website or brand that sells specifically for 4x4 trucks?

you can remove your rear blocks and install lowering shackles in the rear and get 4" easy. in the front the coils and controll arms are the same so either would do it. i went with 3" beltech springs and the ride is much rougher. the fromt struts on a 2wd are shorter and can be changed for a drop but its mild and i cant find how much drop you get for sure. i plan to do this too mine soon. i run about as much tire as i can fit and the hard springs keep everything from rubbing. look in my album at mine, its an 08 with a 3/4. the back is a little higher than i want, i think 2 up front would be better.

Nice truck Worm. You are right the back end does sit pretty high. I came across another user who's truck is lowered. Its an fx2 sitting on 2.5/5 but Im kinda thinking the 2wd trucks sit lower then the 4wd stock. Here is a link to his truck, his truck is sitting right where I would like mine to be sitting.

rumor is that the 4wd trucks sit 2" higher than a 2wd.

2wd height VS 4wd high varies slightly, but it's normally about 1" to 1.5" front and 1 5/8" (2") to about 3" rear.

Depends on the year. 04 and 05's have an extra leaf in the rear and sit higher.

The difference in high between 2wd and 4wd is the longer shocks in the front and the block in the rear. Using stock parts, you can make a 2wd sit like a 4wd and vice versa.

Sweet so with a little extra work I can get my 06 to sit like a 2wd truck! Does that effect the drop kit though? Or does it matter once you convert over?
