No I want to completely cage it. I want to actually know what I'm getting into before I go about it though. From what I have read so far there is a lot of variables to account for when you 4 link a vehicle. I want to make sure that those variables are accounted for before I go into it because if not I'll be sitting there wishing I would of taken the time to really know what I am talking about. I have a pretty good idea though and Hopefully it turns out like I plan.

little update. took the truck out a couple of times in the last few weeks. 1st run broke the ground I have for my relocated battery half way up climbing a hill. truck died and it was the weirdest feeling ever ha. trail fixed it and the truck ran great. 2nd run was last night and it was the actual first time I had given it a run for its money. truck ran awesome I couldn't be more happy with how soft everything feels. small things suck because the rear is so beat up and cant keep up, but the second I hit something larger its like it just floats over it. wasn't expecting it but jumped the truck twice and actually used the bumps a little once. again worked awesome. I could feel when they kicked in and it made it so much more controllable on the decent. definitely need to fix that stupid battery nonsense so its completely right, and upgrade that rear. it is not liking how fast I go ha. hopefully some more updates with pictures soon.

ha ya I know. I dont really care so much right now. the fiberglass will take a little of that away but it is what it is.
thank you!
honestly they are stock inners and stock outers just lengthened. From my knowledge of how aaron at DBR does it, is the actual boots and joints aren't beefed up like you would think. the axles themselves are heat treated but the option of different joints are yours. I haven't ever heard of anyone breaking one if they have a properly cycled suspension. You can run 930s which are stronger, but Im not super positive on the degree angles. the inner is the limiting point on the truck. do you have any binding issues? are you running the same kit? if your shafts are too short or at too steep of an angle you will run into that.

little update, finally got some fenders! ha. also cut the bedsides to kind of give it a little better look. fabbed a rear bumper. just something simple. need to get some plate and a dimple die so I can finish it. took it up to this place called queens valley with a couple friends and my dog gnarly and had a blast. cool views and all that jazz. hopefully going to get this friend of mine to finish the links we're designing and then Im going to look into buying the tubing from my work and start both the cab cage and the thought process for the links while keeping the bed. The last pic is of me and all my friends trucks. Bro not bro I dont care, we are all good friends and it was in the parking lot of peter piper pizza for our good friends son's 2nd bday party. awesome guy who has a awesome little family. works hard and it was just cool to realize that we have a big group that supports both him and his family. fun day!
