Bilstein vs Belltech vs ??? question
I'm ready to drop my FX4 to FX2 height. I have one exhaust pipe that needs a section cut out and a new section spliced in to give more clearence, scheduled Monday. I have the bolts to remove my blocks. I now need to get my 2WD shocks on the way soon.
I'm looking at maybe putting a set the yellow Bilstein HD gas shocks on my '07 FX4 ... just using the 2WD versions. It has the factory 275/55-20 Perelli Tires and I have a second set stacked in the basement so likely will have same for a long time.
I'm wondering how she'll feel with Bilsteins versus the stock shocks that come with the Premium Off Road Package? Truck has 37 K miles so they aren't worn out but I don't want to wait "years" to lower her.
I have Bilstein HDs on my Mercury Grand Marquis, they are stiff .... but then they really tightened up the handling.
I have also thought about Belltechs? Have a "querry" in on price of Belltechs but have no idea as to how the feel / ride / control as compared to the Bilsteins.
Any thoughts based on experience ....
Maybe Monroes ?
Maybe KYBs?

Oh well, something is getting ordered soon!
