jerhelo, does your friend happen to have a spindle lift? im getting one and they push the tires out 1.5 inches and im just curious if the 1.5 inch spacers perfectly match that? also how do the bolt pattern measurements work/ 5 x 4.5 and 5 x 5. i realize the first number is the number of wheel lugs currently on the factory rotor. is the second number the distance between 2 of the lugs across from eachother?

I have read this entire thread, and I still have a question. Perhaps with a little more research I might find the answer in another location, but I'll throw it at you because you seem to know of what you speak. I recently bought an old '90 model with the 4.9 M5OD 4X set up in a long bed. She has seen farm use, and who knows what other abuses over the years, and currently is sitting on 32's. My issues are that the rear seams a little spongy, but mostly that the front coils are held up with two threaded rods on some brackets.
I know jack diddly about suspension, and I'm not looking for some radical lift. Particularly I'd like to simply update the front, and maybe the rear, suspension with a little more lift than it has, and be able to run 33's if I chose to, and keep leveled the truck out.
I don't need a silver platter, but some sound advice for somebody who isn't a suspension guy would be appreciated. Any help you, or the others around this blog, would offer me towards brands, costs, what to do and not do, will be taken in and, again, appreciated. Thank you.

If your springs are spongy front and rear definitely look for a kit with new rear leaf springs and new front coils.
There is a section for your body style truck where you will get more help, i'm not that familiar with your year truck. As long as you stick to a name brand you should be in good hands.
