4 inch lift question

Well guys like the title says I'm thinking about a 4 inch lift on my f150 check album for pics but I was wondering if the rims I have will work they are 18x9 with 18mm offset. I also was wondering if I can still use my airbags that I have installed or will I have to get rid of them? Sorry for the lack of proper grammer I'm on my cellphone. Input would be much appreciated.

Depending on what lift you go with, your current wheels might work. Some lifts, like rough country, require a negative offset. And yes you can still use your air bags. Also, you can get a 6" lift for about the same price as a 4" lift, so thats something to think about if you ever want to get a bigger tire in the future. With a 4" lift the max is about a 35" tall tire. If you go 6" then a 35" tire will still fit and look good, but you can go with a 37" tire if you want to.

Thanks for the quick reply. I have thought about the 6 inch but I like the look of the 4 inch lift more. I was thinking about the Rancho would my rims work with that lift?

I am almost positive that those rims will work with a rancho 4". There is a guy on here who just got a rancho 4" kit put on his fx4 and he kept his factory wheels, which I believe are close to the same offset as your wheels. You might want to call rancho to make sure though.

Anyone know how the bags tie into the lift or does some member on this site have pics of them?

BDS has the ability for stock wheels on their 6" kit for the newer trucks IIRC.

the rear bags will look exactly like how they would on a stock truck assuming they are using a lift block (which i'm sure they are).

Makes sense now that 6 inch kit intrigues me I'm going to look it up right now
