so with the 2.5in hbs kit i can put 35x12.50s on? cant use my stock rims,(20x8.5) kinda dented the lips and tore half of one off. oops. So im wanting to use an 18x9. unsure of correct amount of backspacing to use. going to get mud grapplers to protect the new rims. want to stay with at least a 35 cause i am going to do a body lift in a couple of months. sorry for writing a letter.

so what does that come out to in inches? seems like most sold are from 4.5 to 5.5inch bs? which one is right for me? does too far out = excessive wear?

2.5 cm = 1 in
so divide cm's by 2.5 = inches

The offset is not in cm, it's in mm. Divide that number by 25.4 and you will get the equivalent in inches.

Cany anyone confirm that the strut bolt pattern is the same from 04-08 to 09-11? The CS rep for HBS is claiming that they are, even though everyone lists different kits for the two different models.
Yes they are the same thing. I contacted Top Gun Customz, Hell Bent, and Auto Spring, and theyre all the same 04+. Its just required to list separately because there would be a bunch of noobs blowing up their phones asking why there isnt a part listed for their 09+. Good luck

I just installed the HBS 2.5" kit friday night. It took about 1 hour on the driver side and about 20 minutes on the passenger....the driver side took longer just getting the tools together and running to the auto parts store after i was halfway through the teardown to get a 30mm deep well socket. All in all it was a very simple install. If you go with the HBS kit, the directions are pretty good but they dont tell you to take off the brake line bracket which makes things easier and doesnt put alot of stress on the brakelines

Will post pics once my tires get here next week. Nitto Mud Grapplers 35x12.50x18.

A local shop quoted me $60 for the install and they can do the alignment too. For that price, I think I may let them do it while I am at work.

I had HBS 2inch kit with 35's and had Motometal 951's with the 5inch offset.
This causes a wider stance. With that setup, I would rub in reverse only at full tilt on the Cab part of the wheel well.. I trimed the fender flares and some black plastic from the well.. and found out that it would still hit where the cab was welded to the firewall.. But the Rub wasn't bad at all.

Now with my 6inch lift.. no rub at all.. so a body lift would help this too.
