Guess who I met today....

So today at work I met the CEO of Skyjacker. My boss was sitting outside and saw him pull up and saw all the advertisement and got to talking to him and he knew I wanted a lift on my truck and brought me out and introduced me to him. The guy was really cool and had a pretty good looking Tundra...I am now getting setup with a 6" Skyjacker lift...sweet!

However I need some help....I am thinking about getting the Chrome XD Series Spys in 18". Does anyone else besides me think that it would look really good, oh and the reason why I don't go 20" is because I buy BFGs and I can't afford those damn things on a 20" rim.....**** I could barely afford the KM2s on my truck now hahah!

Thanks for input!

I would have told him I have never been impressed with the quality of the products they put out... Its the little things that count, and its been my own personal observation they often could care less. I'm a Rize fan for life, but have installed a few skyjacker products and lifts on others vehicles and have always had to call because of wrong parts in the box, or missing parts...

^way to put a guy down lol altho i must say i dont ever see myself spending on skyjacker...anyways to your question, i like to upgrade and id do the 20"s if thats something your really wanting to do, afterall its just a lil saving up to do, or is the 6" lift an emergency situation that it must be installed asap??? either way it would look really sweet, but if your asking between 18s and 20s then theirs def. some wiggle room in your wallet bud

You're going to regret getting 18s especially in a chrome wheel. Chrome to me is always the bigger the better.

Haha well like I said the only thng holding me back is the price of the BFGs. What I read though is that a majority of the people who have the 6" kit are pretty happy with it.

Congrats man. How much is the price difference between the 18 and 20 BFGs? I have 305/65R18 BFG AT, and they weren't cheap.

I like the chrome XD Spys...I think those would look great in either 18's or 20's. It sounds like you compared the prices between the two different size tires so your reasoning for getting 18's sounds valid to me...no reason to regret that decision at all. But back to the SkyJacker. I dont understand...did he GIVE you the lift or a great deal on it at least?

I certainly didn't mean it in that way... But if i was to run into or meet the CEO's of some of these aftermarket companies I'd have choice words for some of them about the products, or in some cases crap they put on the market and try to continually pass off.. I have had the unfortunate privilege of dealing with quiet a few of these products and companies..

I regret not going with 20s. In fact, my stock rims were 20s and i went down to 18s to save some $$$. besides, Toyo MTs are pricey on a twenty inch rim

Its almost a $100 per tire difference from 18" to 20" thats why I want to stick with 18" haha.

Stove I am glad you see my reasoning....now hes pretty much going to give it to me next to nothing is what i think...he called and told them to get me a kit ready I am suppose to call him 1st of the week and he is going to get my shipping address...so really im not sure yet haha!

I had a Level 2 6" Skyjacker installed on my truck back in 05 when not alot of other companies were building 6" lifts for these trucks. I ran it til 09 when Skyjacker shipped me a new coilover at no charge other than the install. Overall I am happy with this lift and have no complaints. Sure, I would rather have a Rize, but last time I checked they dont offer a lift in the skyjacker price range!

Wow, that would be so sweet if you were able to get it for next to nothing!

I know man, the really ironic thing is that I made the decision 2 weeks to start saving for a lift and its just funny how he came in....its a sign that my truck is meant to have a lift. I am definitely going to keep this thread alive and keep you guys updated.
