4 inches of lift. Sky jacker kit? ideas?

http://www.4wheelparts.com/Lift-Kits...pn=SKYF4301K-H

Looks to me like it just adds a taller strut up front. How would this work? My control arm is already at a bad enough angle with the 2.5 in leveling kit.

I want no more than 4 inches of lift to tuck my 35's that im getting under it well but not a full 6 inch kit that adds a million pounds to the weight of your truck.

So bassically I want a light weight and affordable lift kit.

Ideas?

you would need to get a full blown lift kit for your 4 inches. the kit you saved is only for a 3 inch. yes it is by changing the strut up front and im sure you will need to remove your spacer in order to install it to make it work. think about it that 3 in strut with your 2.5 spacer. you think you have bad angles now??? i think it would be impossible to get that all together. even on here people are saying that the 3 inch is too much with the angles it imposes.

Body lifts are a great value, if you can install them yourself. It's not that they are that hard (they say the 04-08 F-150s are a pain though), but they are time consuming, tedious work, so shops charge a lot for labor.
I agree, most people have found that 3 inches of lift with a spacer or longer coilover is just too much.

You'll be glad you did, and they have $500 off their 4" lift right now.

Thanks for the link. Im gonna go rancho now. The 4inch lift is alot less weight than the extra metal on the 6inch im guessing

You will have to fabricate some custom brackets to raise the bull bar.

My Westin Bull Bar doesn't look too bad after my 3" Body Lift. I did not modify the mounting bracket....yet.

^ Same one I want! Suspension Lift first though. I was debating the skyjacker kits for 500 bucks

Would that be the kit consisting of longer coilover shocks and an AAL for the rear? I wouldn't recommend that kit. 3 inches is just too much lift without dropdown brackets. It leaves the ball joints at too sever of an angle to last.

I agree with Wandell. You are wasting your money on this kit if you get it. Only thing you need to achieve exactly what your going to get from buying that skyjacker 3inch suspension lift is a 2 1/2 inch leveling kit. Only difference is 1/2 inch. Plus me, wandell and several members here will say no more than 2 1/2 inches with a leveling kit. Puts wayyy too much stress on key components up front.

As for the rear you can either go with an aal or a bigger block. Total cost for parts and install will be less than what you would pay for that skyjacker 3inch lift

I replied to you in the other thread about this man. Just like my .02 in the post above.
