Why Rancho instead of Rough Country?

I am just wondering why does everyone who gets a 4" lift get the rancho? And I mean EVERYONE.....I'm on this site daily and have seen about 15-25 trucks with a 4" lift and every single person has the Rancho. Why? The Rough Country is $600 cheaper, is it just because of the brands or what because I'm 99% sure I am putting a Rough Country on mine but it worries me that Nobody else has....jw?

from what i have heard and understand some people have had trouble with the rough country kits and the quality of them and as far as the actual parts are concerned i am not sure because i havent compared the two, maybe do that and if there is a difference then that might be your answer

also rancho is a quality and recognizable brand, other than the stuff mentioned i couldnt tell you

Who has had trouble with them? But if its just the name brand then what if I go out and stick Bugatti emblems on my truck-somebody will buy my truck for 100,000 bucks? Ok lol jp...but still get my point?

i broke lifts from Rancho, Rough Country, Tough Country and Tuff Country on my Ranger and Bronco II. Rancho was the only one that stood by their product at all. I tried sky jacker and never had another problem, but the bronco II was stolen months after putting the sky jacker on so i didnt get to really beat on it.

I wont ever EVER put a rough country product on one of my vehicles. hope that helps at all. Id still think about using rancho shocks but never a lift.

Or you can always just go with rize
I haven't heard any good things about rough country...but I don't think your front end will be falling off when you're driving down the road, either kit should be just fine for you, especially if you don't plan on doing anything too extreme.

The deciding factor for me was the design on the Rancho. Rancho uses a single piece complete subframe assembly for the front crossmember part of the lift. Almost everyone else has a two piece. Now, I've never tried both to see if one is better, stronger, or drives better than the other, but looking at it from the surface that design just seems superior. It passes the logic test if you know what I mean. And then there's all the other reasons mentioned above.

I was under the impression that we were talking about a 2005 in this thread...? Rize makes a kit for the 04-08 and 09 trucks...so if he's got a 2005 model, hes covered if he wants to go with Rize.

Checking the Rize site I dont see where they make a 4inch, or a 6inch either. Gotta go to 8 if you want a Rize.
BDS makes a 4inch now. But its not a one piece subframe. From what I hear BDS stands behind their kits thou. If that helps any.

That's correct, Rize only makes 8" and 12" kits for fords. I'm just a fan of going as big as possible personally.

I have a rough country 6" lift and have had no problems, nor have I heard of anybody having any problems with it on the nbs trucks. If I had to buy a lift again I wouldn't hesatate to buy a rough country again.
