The Rough Country 4" lift is fairly new, it's only been out like 6-8 months. The Rancho kit has been out several years now so that's why there are more trucks with that kit.

I have the RC 6" lift and haven't had any problems. I think I've put about 10k miles on it.

So for a 2008 FX4, I would need the basic lift kit (RAN-RS6589B - in black) and a combination of (2 x RAN-RS999769) AND (2 x RAN-RS19287), RS9000XL's front and rear.

OR a total of (4 x Rear RS5000 Series Shock - RAN-RS5287)?

I'm in the same boat--looking at RC v Rancho. Leaning toward RC for budget reasons! Can I mount 35" tires on stock 18" King Ranch rims with the 6" Rough Country? I see that truck add ons is having a 10 percent off sale until the 14th!!! Thanks guys.

the RC directions say it was designed around a stock rim with 35's , but they say it will hit the knuckles with out a spacer. they require a 4.5-5" backspace

Clean, good looking truck. I had made up my mind to get the Procomp Stage I but now I'm rethinking the RCX 6".
