I think a lot of it has to do with the fact there are not to many reviews out there on there rough country lift, doesnt mean its not decent and I know a lot people rather spend the extra $600 and get a product that they know has a good reputation and will last rather than take a chance on something else they dont know about. Hell the way I look at it, cant be no worst than them POS bulletproof lifts people put on there trucks.

Ya if I had the $600 bucks I would probably just go with the Rancho and be done with it (its even got the lifetime warranty), but ok really I'm only 16 and barely have enough money for the new rim/tire/lift/bushwacker setup -it adds up- and I have 2 jobs but barely make any money during the school year. If I could I would just wait and save up the money and get the Rancho next summer but my tires and horrible right now and I need new ones BAD, so I don't want to have to get 2 sets of tires in one year....(get what I'm saying)-----and yes I know here comes the people saying " just get the 35"s with a leveling kit and get the lift next summer"-- but I just don't like that whole idea...lol I no this shouldn't be such a complicated thing....Oh and THX for the input

Rancho has a sale going on right now where you get $500 back if you buy the lift and 4 shocks from an authorized dealer. That made it a no-brainer for me.

If you're just 16, the best thing you can do is wait and save your $$. Replace the tires when the get worn, maybe go with a leveling kit for $100 and call it a day. Trust me, you'll be glad you did when in another 5 or 6 years when you finish school and you've got $10-15K saved up to put down on a brand new F150

I have the Rough Country 6in with no problems at all with 8k miles on it!!! The parts are more than beefy enough IMO and i dont see why more people dont go with this kit.... Ive had it offroad several times with the back tire off the ground to 2 inches of mud on the roof with no problems!!! don let the name brand people get you its very reliable lift

there are multiple people on the powerstroke forums w/ rough country's 3" lift that have broken the track bar from daily driving. the welds were breaking it looked like. talked to rough country today and they fixed it by redesigning it, but still it makes me question their products ALOT

track bar brakets were failing and many early 05-up superduties from many lift manufactures.. even a high reputation company like rubicon express had similar issues with some jeeps,

my biggest negative thing with rough country was the coils i used on a 1978bronco they were stiff as hell but that was also back in 1992 and things have improved. i did a few coil lifts in some little cherokees and they rode good. there leaf spings in there 4" kit for a superduty were stiff but not out of line with procomp...

as for the kit i have now it is pretty good..fut and finish is good. built well and welds are good... some minor things i didnt care for but i addressed them durring the install. would i recommend this kit yes would i buy it again yes.. I went from a high end lift in my superduty to try something diffrent (f150) and went with a budget kit.. so far the quality is very good.
