2010 Platinum Level or Lift

I have had my new truck for about 3 weeks now. I had the dealer do a 2" leveling kit. I have ordered my wheels (20x9 XD799) Tires Toyo AT 305/55/20. Here is the deal I dont think that I'm going to be happy with the look of the truck untill I put a 6" lift. But have a lot of questions and concerns about lifting. I would appriciate any feed back.
1. How much is the ride and the way it drives now going to change?
2. Will I void the factory and extended warranty?
3. I would run 35" tires, how much performance would i give up? I have a 3:55 rear. Would I need to go for gears or a tuner?
4. If I go for it, which brand lift is the best, also what shocks would be best.

Thanks great site

I say lift it, your ride wont change much, Couldnt tell ya on the warranty thing. You wouldnt give up to much performance with a 35, just like you stated you could always change gears or get a tuner. Not sure on the brand of lift, I dont know who has made them for the 2010's. But good brands would include fabtech, procomp, Bds. Hope this helps ya.

Throw a 6" on there plus your spacer and a set of 37's.....Then if you have some spare change...regear...I think that would look awesome...anyway..I will let the lift experts head you in the right direction. It seems that a lot of the newf150s are running BDS kits or Pro comp that i have seen. I know from all the comments that BDS is a good lift.

im pretty sure if dealer puts it on they will still warranty it. Ask them it wont hurt. My truck was still warrantied when i brought it in and had a 6inch lift ( they put on im pretty sure. i was the second owner and got it with the lift on it and i think i remember him saying he bought it with the 6inch on there) and a leveling kit. I dont think they knew the leveling kit was on there bc i did it myself.

Do most Ford dealerships sell and install a leveling kit?

Federal law states that the dealer can only void the portion of the warranty directly affected by the lift. However, a lot of dealers will push this past the limit. THe best advice is to ask YOUR dealership. Since they installed a leveling kit for you they are probably mod friendly.

Consider a Performance Accessories PLS kit. It will let you put the 35" on it for a lot less money than a suspension kit (about $550 for the complete kit). The only change to the chassis is a 2" leveling kit, so it will not have the impact on your ride or drivetrain like a suspension kit.

I would def do the 6" BDS if you can afford it... I think it will look much better all the way lifted than with just a level kit on there. You can easily run 35s w/o regearing right away. I have stock 3.73 LS on mine with 315/70/r17s and I tow a little bit. I want to regear to 4.10 or 4.56 but it does alright right now... The ride should actually be better... I know I like my truck ridding stiffer (not like a 2 horse wagon... just firm). granted I only have a body lift, level kit and add-a-leaf, but i like the ride height/firmness a lot.
