Yea his truck does look mighty nice. 7" spindles seem big though to just be spindles.

Thanks for the help b2therad, my truck was made in may of 97 so i guess i have to go with the 3" with a 1.5" block in the back, can't wait to get everything ordered so i can start wrenching. One more quick question, with the spindle's does the front end have to be re-aligned or don't they effect it?

No sir.. bolt on and go. If you can keep from messing with the tie rods at all then you should be just fine. They dont alter any of your suspension so they should not change camber/caster/toe in or out so you should be fine.

Idk man I'd probably want to get an alignment afterwards to be safe. It'll be up to you I mean you can look at it and see if the tires are angled in or out and based on how it drives but for me any suspension work would get aligned after

Any front end suspension work needs to be aligned, ANY. My tires are angled in and have perfect alignment though.

I am not trying to argue with you guys, but putting lift spindles on your truck is no different than having stock spindles. The tire mounts 3 or 3.5 inches lower is the only difference. Coils and spacers are what changes your camber. If the lift spindle was any longer than a stock one then I would suggest getting it aligned, but I seriously doubt that putting lift spindles on would change anything.

Your tires are angled in because you need a camber kit.

i get what your saying brad but to me having a lifetime alignment it wouldnt make sense not to get one. its a judgment call based on how everything looks after its and if the truck pulls

hey badd is your truck a 4.6 or a 4.2???

because if your truck is the 4.6, if your wanting to run 285's i would just put on a leveling kit.

i have a 97 supercab 4.6 with a 1.5" daystar kit and 285's i think it sits nice..

ok, got a pic in the sig. it's not the best, but you get the gist. it looks like it's sitting lower in the front but front is actually 1" higher than the back.

buxton i have the 4.6l. when i first joined here i just was gonna do a spacer so i could fit the 33's but i just ran into a good chunk of money and now im going to do 3.5" lift spindles and 2" coil spacers in the front and a 3" block in the back with lift springs. after that i will see what i think and i might even do the 3" body lift and run 35's but i have the 3.55 gears and i dont know about them and 35's. how bad do you think they would kill my mileage? im a fairly slow driver and im not worried about get up and go really, i dont tow either.
