I just thought of another question. What are you guys using for a spare tire? Do you have a full size spare, or none at all? Da Wolf, I really like your spare tire set up with the tire gate.

Thanks man. I guess I don't need to answer that question then. LOL

I don't keep a spare in the truck, I don't have the room. I do have a set of some bald 38's (the tires pictured in my sig hah) that I keep in the the garage in case of an emergency tho.

Thankfully I had a full size spare tire. I had gone to see the in-laws for a week and this is what I came back to.

And this is the culprit that caused it. This little thing flattened a 38" tire.

It took me and the wife almost 2 hours to get this thing changed out.

wow... how did that even puncture the tire? Did it have a pointed tip that broke off?

No pointed tip. it just went clear through the center of my lug and into the tire carcass. I was amazed that something like that brought down this size/kind of tire.

hmm or maybe someone doesn't like lifted trucks in that neighborhood. are the edges of the bolt kind of worn down like you had been riding on it for a little while, if not then i would say someone did it.

Yeah, the sides are worn down on it. I heard it while driving, sounded like a rock in the tire, I looked and didn't see anything when I looked (must have parked on top of it, while out and about). I was on my way (from my office) to pick my step-daughter up from school and drop her off at her Dad's. So, some where in that trip is when I got it. But no, it wasn't in my neighborhood. And it was in there before I got to his house. So, no he didn't put it there. I was just amazed that it went all the way through.

Sorry for the VERY LATE reply on this 4.2trimble. I was looking for a different thread and came across this one. As of yesterday (when I got them rotated and balanced) I am sitting at around 28K and some change. I would guess I will get another 3 - 5000 out of them. I just wish Mickey Thompson had not discontinued my size in these tires cause I would love to have them back on there again. When I had the flat, I think I had around 22K on them (ball park guess).
