1.25'' lower on driver's side (more to the story)

Hey all,

I have a ton of back story on this one, but I'll ask the big question up front. Does anyone know if there is any difference in the A-Arm/Strut-Spring assembly for the 04-08 4X4 F-150's?

The reason I ask - My truck was stolen a couple months ago, and in the joyriding process they broke the lower A-Arm on the driver's side. Insurance has been great, and replaced a TON of stuff, one item being the whole new Driver's side suspension/A-Arm/Spindle, etc. (https://www.f150online.com/forums/20...recovered.html)

After re-assembly, the truck sags on that side, and the new A-Arm doesnt look quite like my original factory 07 A-arm on the passenger side.

Did Ford produce anything different for the 4.6 4X4's vs. the 5.4's?

It just doesn't seem like the strut is as long as the original, and its not pushing it up high enough, etc.

I know there could be a thousand other possibilities, and I am researching a few different things. The truck itself had a brand new frame shipped direct from Ford, so I dont assume it to be bent out of the gate, but it could be. Its going back to the body shop that did the repair anyway, just trying to gain a little info that might help me get the right stuff looked at and fixed.

Thanks guys,

Thought I had my Signature plugged in.. but its a 2007 F150 4X4, 5.4 Auto. 2.5 AS leveling kit in front, 1.5 lift shackles in the rear. 295/70/17 Nitto's, and a new frame, new driver's side front suspension components (salvage yard replacements).

4x4 and 2x4 have same coils, but different length struts. Maybe some how you have a 2wd strut on your 4x4?

That is what it looks/feels like. But, I didnt have any real proof to this point. Going back to the body shop and insurance adjuster to try to get this whole bit fixed. Thanks!

measure the length from the bottom bolt to the bottom of the spring perch on each side.

Look for any part numbers on the struts on both sides of the truck, and call your local Ford dealership parts dept for crossreference
