Pro Comp AAl?
Pro Comp AAl?
Hey guys.. I'm looking to level out the rear end on my truck, there seems to be about a 1 1/2 inch sag.. which is supposedly normal with the Pro Comp 6" lift. I figured doing an AAL would be a good option right? Is there anything I need to be worried about or change with my current setup when I do the AAL, or does it simply bolt on?
Am I looking at the right AAL, Pro Comp 13134? How much do you think it would cost and how long to install these? http://www.summitracing.com/parts/EXP-13134/
I've searched the forums.. and want my truck to sit more like this..

Instead of this.

I would say getting the aal is what just what your looking for there generally pretty simple to install could take anywheres from an hour to an hour and a half depending on weather the aal you order is a short one and can sit on the bottom of the leaf package or if you get a longer one which then require taking apart the clamps that hold your leaf package together and sliding the new one in. Also some peoples U-Bolts are so rusted that you cant get the bolts of the top which then requires a torch to cut them and you have to have another set of U-bolts. Just some possible scenarios. But I went with the autospring kit from ebay for about $100 put my back up about 1.5" and was a short spring, went in nice except for getting those u-bolts off.
Well I haven't looked under the truck lately, but I've only done about 8500 miles on it, so I imagine the Ubolts can't be that bad on shape.
How much would you figure an install would cost? I don't really have any real tools.. lol

Bump...would like to know this too.
I have the long AAL and let me tell you it was a PITA to put on especially the spring clamps which to be honest I still don't have them the way they should be. Anyway the basic difference I am told is that the long AAL rides better than the short one. Mine didn't change the ride quality much if any but after experiencing the install which was not hard but frustrating I would get the short one or a block if I had to do it again. On the positive side my rear barely sags now even with a loaded trailer hooked up!

Well I think anywhere will charge at least $100 to install. And since any more than 100 would be too much for that job, i'm voting $100 as a fair install
Keep us posted if you get it done, I need to decide if i'm gonna do it myself or just pay someone if it's cheap.

If you take it to a shop that has the right tools my guess would be it would take them at least a couple of hours? Not sure what the labor rate is in your area but $100 would definately be a great price to avoid the hassle!
