I did mine myself in the driveway with basic tools.

I just recently got the 6" Skyjacker for my 2008 F-150 FX2. So far no problems and drives great nearly like stock. I would recommend it to people so far. Measured and the top of my fender came up to around 44 1/2 inches.

I did mine alone.. Got started about 4am on a saturday and had it completed at 4:30pm the same day. Granted I had air-tools and a 4 arm auto lift to do the job. Without that stuff, i'd say atleast a 2-3 day job w/ lots of beer in between...

I had a similar experience. I did mine with a member of this site (MercedesTech). It took us 12 hours, and we had air tools and a lift as well. We could have done it in less time but we ran into some problems with my front driveshaft. If it is an older truck, expect it to take longer. Mine had a lot of miles on it and I guess the age and wear made it a little more difficult. Definitely do-able with basic tools and a little hands on knowledge, just make sure to torque everything to spec.
