How can i give a 2wd a "lifted" look

Alright guys, well, I am pretty new to these forums, I've been scoping them out for a while though. Just got around to making an account.

I have a 2008 F150 STX, 2wd, sadly. Everything is stock, and I am after a good lift/tire/wheel combo that will give my truck a nice lifted look.

I'm gonna start it off by saying that a 6" lift is way out of my price range. I would like some sort of combination involving a body lift, leveling kit, AAL or something along the lines of that.

As for the tires and wheels, I would like to get some 33/12.50/20, maybe 18's.

I am open for any suggestions involving different combinations, wheel/tire brands, and other things along the lines of this.

Thank you for your time in advance!

Add a 2.5 inch Autospring leveling kit and a lift block out back. If you want more lift, you can add a body lift. However, body lifts are a pain to install on the 04-08 trucks. If you have to pay someone to do the installations, you will have about the same amount of money invested in a standard 6 inch Pro Comp lift. A leveling kit will allow you to fit 33's. Add the body lift and you can fit 35's.

Would a 3" body lift with the 2.5" leveling kit with 33's look good?

Or would it look silly being that high up with only that size tires?

will you be installing the lifts yourself? i think the 33s would look good with that lift but like wandell said, the body lift will cost you near the amount that a descent suspension lift will cost you.

Well i have a few buddies that work down at the Ford shop, so I could probably get the installation pretty cheap, if not free.

Sorry guys, but honestly, I have no idea how blocks or AAL's work.

I am leaning towards the 2.5" AS level with some sort of blocks or whatever; with 33's and 18" wheels.

Munkey gives you a pretty good idea of what your looking at doing. If you do a 2.5 leveling kit thats what it does is levels it, gains you some room for larger tires up front as well.. but then if you add blocks in the rear or AALs..well your just gainin your rake back, the rear will be higher than the front again, Id say do a 2.5 level kit up front then get a 3 BL if you can afford it, it will give you the higher lifted look and sit level and run 33s

Looks good man!

Question is, will the Bilsteins give enough lift/leveling in the front to allow for 33's on my 2WD?

Thanks man!
I can't see the Bilsteins having any problems with a 33"
I have no rubbing at all with the 2.5 leveling kit.
