I love my Rancho lift. It is very well made and comes with a beefy one piece crossmember, new spindles and requires no spacer at the coil. CV angles are perfect. I also went with the R9000XL shocks and have dialed them in for a comfortable, yet stiff ride...this has been pretty fun adjusting tire pressure with shock firmness to get that perfect ride. As far as height, it is just perfect for getting in and out of, but I have a spare set of AS 2" spacers that I may throw on there in a year or so, but see no rush as the truck looks great already. The lift gave me close to 5" of lift plus I went with a 35" tire...you can do your own math to figure total lift over your current stock height.

I finally took pics so check them out in my gallery.

Hey CB,
Patiently waiting for pics! I need to get rid of that stacked mess that I have and get the AAL. Is the ride any harsher with the new new leaf?

I've been kicking around the idea of the Rancho 4' lift lately. Who seems to have the best price?

I was able to pick mine up online from 4wheelparts.com when they had it on sale plus free shipping. It came with the adjustable shocks and cost me $1800. I thought that was a pretty good deal compared to other places I was coming across. I know some people found the kit on ebay a few times for a really good price.

This may have been a once in a lifetime deal but keep checking Craigslist. I bought mine brand new, never installed, WITH shocks for $650.00. (when it was all said and done, it probably totaled about $700). The guy bought it and realized soon after that he wanted to go higher so went out and bought a new kit and put the Rancho in the garage. As with all things, the wifey got tired of tripping on it so he sold it on CL. The seller was pretty cool too because he wanted to be sure I had new brake lines so met up with me a few weeks later with a set of steel braided hoses...awesome dude.

As for retail, I am sure there are a ton of deals out there as e-tailers stuggle to stay afloat so keep looking. Having said that, the same probably holds true for Fabtech and Procomp 6" kits so be sure of what you want and pull the trigger. I needed/wanted a 4" kit so I am more than happy.

Wow, that's with AS 2" spacer?!? It makes your Rancho lift look enormous...almost makes your 35's look a little small. From a few of the pics, it looks like the upper BJ is at a severe angle...do you think it's enough to be concerned about? I hung onto my 2"AS and was going to install it in a year or so, but I had NO idea it was going to make THAT big of a difference!! I'd love to see at least one pic each of the upper BJ and CV angles.

Our set ups are nearly identical so your feedback and input are going to be critical!

yea they did get put at a good angle.i was also surprised. there has been no change in the ride quality. i have seen guys trucks on here with worse angles than that. , salfx4, and Wowakfx4 is thier name i believe has this same setup and his dont look bad,i guess it depends on the high of your truck from the factory?

Yep, you need to cut off part of the mounting point for the OEM crossmember. It is replaced by the Rancho crossmember, so to get it to fit, you must cut off an ear of that mounting point. I used a cut off wheel on an angle die grinder, then spray painted the exposed metal. This took about 20mins.

For more info, view the installation instructions. It is complete with pictures:
