Going Under the Knife!
Well after scratching my head for a while. Im really doubting that i will find rims to fit. The front i can cut the lower and upper control arm to shorten them. That will bring the tire in. For the rear ill just have to shorten the axle. This route will be lots cheaper than droping a couple grand for wheels and tires.
But i was looking forward to getting some new 22's

I'd replace the spiders, you dont want to chew up those new custom axles and have to order new ones again.
any chance you can mill some off the back of the wheels?
how much is it rubbing? and is it rubbing at "normal ride height" too or just layed out?

ive already looked at the wheels and there isnt enough there to make it work. The front rubs with the tire tucked about 1 inch. the rear rubs on the fiberglass lip untill the top of the tire hits the fender. I believe that the front A Arms are longer than stock. thus pushing the tire out.
Just a tad. basically where the tabs are for the plastic inner fender to mount to. I have got the front tires to clear now. Not by much! Now i just gotta start cutting the fenders out. Looks like there wont be much left when im done.
i suggest get new wheels...as for your air managment setup i suggest you run a belt driven compressor or scuba tanks, I did both as I was trigger happy all the time and those itty bitty compressors don't fill 16 gal of air to 200 psi so fast
Well done workin on her for the night. Im kinda torn though. The inner fender support is very hard to get to with my little 4 inch cutoff wheel. I can get to the other side of it but my wheel is too close to the outer fender for comfort. I might have to take the fenders off.
great project, its coming along pretty good. Another alternative to what you could have done with your front suspension is this...it it also what I have done on mine.
Raise your upper arm mounts atleast 2", and swap your uppers left to right and right to left to help with firewall clearance and you only have to tap it with a hammer a few times (assuming you will only be laying frame, if you bodydrop it down the line you will ofcouse have to tub your firewall), flip your lower balljoints and replace them with Chrysler Cordoba balljoints, flip your tie rod ends, cut off your spring purch and use a customs bracket with gussets, youd have to use a reamer to ream out the other ends of your spindles to accomidate the flipping of the lower joint and the rod ends. Just an option of you wanted to save money and not go with spindles.

Yeah with how im doing it im going to have to cut into the firewall quite a bit. even have to relocate the computer
